After the successful launch of the Brighton Belle in May 2009, the following steam hauled Pullmans and Advans it is now time to manufacture the first mainline engine to be made under the Darstaed name.
This first mainline engine will be a true icon, the A1 Peppercorn “TORNADO’ to be produced in tandem will the other locomotives of the A1 Class.followed by a 4-4-0 tender engine still codenamed “Overlord”.
The issue of our Brighton Belle and steam hauled Pullmans has been successful beyond expectation, nine steam hauled Pullmans and four bar cars are available now.  Our Non-Corridor coaches have been well received as well with the sprung bogies, detailed solebar, detailed interior and ceiling lighting. As these coaches have been meticulously researched and are scale length there is also great demand for 2-R for which a pick up will be available shortly.  In the next print run the range will be expanded by another half dozen pre-grouping liveries and a range of Corridor mainline stock. The first liveries available now are LNWR, GWR, LNER and LBSCR, in March followed by SR olive green, BR maroon and SECR.
The first Goods Wagons that Darstaed will offer for the British market is  a uniquely designed range of vans carrying pre-grouping advertisements produced by Bassett-Lowke and others during the period 1904-1915. Offered are the first 10 liveries of a series of 30 in a limited edition of 500 each only.
In the year 2002 at ACE we were toying with the idea of making a station platform
which then developed into the canopy. The canopy is modeled after both the one in Kedoeng Djati, Java  and Den Haag Hollandsch Spoor.
